Re-distribute an apartment in the upper area of Barcelona that had five rooms, a compartmentalised room to receive guests, the family room and the dining room.
To resolve the project, we gave priority to adapt the space for a couple with one daughter and we converted the many old small spaces into fewer but more diaphanous areas, with a style of freshness and quality where luxury signifies open spaces using quality materials, avoiding ostentatiousness and “flash” style. We gave the sleeping area enormous width, making the space the real asset of the house: a large suite with two dressing rooms and a large bathroom for the couple, a room with a bathroom for the daughter and an additional room with a guest bathroom. We turned the living room into a multipurpose space and gave the dining room a discreet character, whilst still remaining the protagonist of the whole and communicating directly with the kitchen designed by Deulonder. As is usual in our projects, we designed custom furniture and included some design icons such as the Hola chair by Cassina, the Disa lamp by Coderch and Mantis, the 50s lamp by Schottlander.
