Complete renovation of a mountain house with the aim of creating more open and communicated spaces.
In contrast to the classic layout found on the first floor, we opened up the spaces and joined the kitchen, living room and dining room, through an extendable wing table that allows for six to ten diners. On the middle floor, we renovated the bathrooms and bedrooms, and in the old unused attic, we organized the space to install a large bedroom suite, with a comfortable area for watching television, a full bathroom and a dressing room.
To update the materials, we sanded the beams throughout the house, allowing the natural color of the wood to show through, and painted the spaces between beams. We kept the doors typical of a mountain house and lacquered them in the same color as the walls. We changed the windows and the parquet to harmonize the tones.
